Why ad-free makes the difference
Sudoku is a calm, focused game. Every ad that pops up, every layout jump from a late-loading banner and every auto-playing video tears apart exactly the concentration you are building. Ad-funded sites also have to hold your attention as long as possible and show as many impressions as they can, so their interests run against yours. Without ads that conflict disappears: the page loads faster, stays quiet and wants nothing from you except that you solve your puzzle.
No tracking, no cookie banner
Ad-free here also means tracking-free. No advertising or analytics networks run along, no advertising cookies are set and nothing is shared with third parties. To improve the game we count strictly server-side and in aggregate: plain events with no IP address, no user ID and no profile. Because nothing consent-requiring happens, there is no cookie banner to click away. A strict Content Security Policy technically ensures that no foreign scripts can load at all.
So how is it funded?
Sudoku Sagax is a lean project: a single server process, self-hosted fonts, no expensive third-party services. It grows through word of mouth and communities rather than ad budgets. That is why we do not have to turn you into the product to keep the site running. You get the full game, free and with no price paid in data.

Is my data tracked or sold?
No. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no sharing with third parties. To improve the game we only count server-side and in aggregate, without IP, without user IDs, without profiling.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Because we set no consent-requiring cookies. Only a technical login cookie is needed if you sign in. Without tracking there is nothing to consent to.
